Hello! My name is Ximena and I live in Washington, DC. In regular DC fashion, my job is part of my personality, so I work for a national nonprofit that works with public libraries to promote social equity and digital literacy! YAY STEM! I care about uplifting and building community. When I’m not asking you all for donations, I love to social distance (not really), lay on my hammock, and drink a nice margarita.

I have no pics of myself so here is a super zoomed in, cropped photo of me (sorry Anna). I’m Ayu and I lived in DC for three years, and am currently in LA working at an arts nonprofit. I spent most of my working life in restaurants, where I’ve met some of the most fun and hardworking people. I’m excited to be working on this with my best friends!

Hey hey, I’m Emma! Though I currently work at a sexual and reproductive health nonprofit in DC, I was in the service industry from age 15 until just a few months ago. If we’re being honest, the skills I gained in restaurants and cafes prepared me for my current office job (and for life) more than most classes or internships did. When I’m not managing donations, I’m probably making some sort of a to-do list, eating snax, or trying to figure out where I left my phone!

Heyyo I’m River! I’ve been in the service industry for five years, having worked in various restaurants and currently working in warehousing in LA. I have seen many of my fellow LatinX friends, family, and coworkers facing layoffs and reduced pay. Being involved with the Happy Hour Fund is a way to support my community. When I'm not coming up with subpar insta captions, I am following quarantine guidelines and playing Animal Crossing with my girlfriend.
